4.50pm Post-event drinks
Great chance to meet everyone after the event, talk to the speakers and the workshop hosts, and make new connections.
I'll always keep the costs of attending our events as low as possible. The events are not being run in order to make money. They're being run to provide you with the best experience possible, the chance to hear from some awesome people, and to help you do your job better, all at an affordable cost.
One bonus of keeping the costs low, is that it opens up the opportunity for whole marketing teams to attend, rather than just one person. Team members often pick up different messages and hear different points of emphasis, even when they're listening to the same speaker. We hope you'll agree that these events will also prove invaluable for younger team members’ career development.
Those of you who have already bought tickets do not have to pay anymore. I'll also be emailing you next week to confirm your ticket and food selection.
Any new tickets will cost £40 each. I think this is pretty fair considering you get a full day, lunch, and all the tea and coffee you can drink!
We couldn't possibly do what we do and run the events as well as we run them, without the help of our partners below. Huge thanks to them all for their help - both financial and in kind. It's massively appreciated. Going forwards, Plymouth Business School will be a major partner of Building Brands. Their help with The Conference this year has been invaluable!

The venue is the beautiful Sherwell Centre, which sits on the University of Plymouth campus. It's located right off of North Hill in Plymouth, and is easily accessible from public car parks in the area, just 5 minutes walk from the train station, and a bunch of major bus routes.
2 minutes walk down the hill is the Drake Circus Shopping Centre, with nearly 1300 car park spaces. You can also park in Regent Street car park, again, just 5 minutes walk from the Sherwell Centre.
You can see exactly where the Sherwell Centre is on this campus map. Look to the right of the campus and you'll see Sherwell Centre clearly marked. Here's another map clearly showing the car parks in the area.
Who's The Conference for?
Honestly, it's for anyone who's involved in marketing, and who lives in Devon and Cornwall specifically.
The speakers have been put together to particularly help Heads of Marketing, Marketing Managers and Executives, and Digital Marketers.
If you're joining us from an agency, chances are you're going to already know some of the information, but by no means all of it. We hope you'll want to join us still!
Any COVID safety measures?
While it's no longer compulsory in order to attend events, we would request that those attending still do a COVID Lateral Flow Test on the morning before coming to The Conference.
If you feel like you would like to wear a face mask, please do, though again this won't be compulsory.
Finally, please make use of the sanitisation stations available throughout the Sherwell Centre.
After everything that we have all been through the last couple of years, let's try to keep everyone as safe as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Who's going to be talking?
Over the coming weeks. we'll be announcing the speakers and workshop hosts. The speakers are all set - and you're going to be excited when you hear who's coming! Click the link below to see who's speaking and running workshops at the Building Brands Conference 2022!
As well as the fantastic speakers, we're also going to have some companies exhibiting at The Conference. Here's a list of them!
